Throughout this guide you'll learn how to take a Snapshot of your Windows VPS.Â
A Snapshot is a recovery point that you set for your Windows VPS state and data. It is a way of freezing everything which is being running by creating a differentiating disk of your Windows VPS which would include only the changes from the snapshot date.Â

From there, you are able to retrieve a previous state of your Windows VPS which would includes all your VPS data such as (and not limited to)
- Previous Windows Updates State
- Previous Application State
- Previous Installed Programs
- Previous Files & Documents
- Previous Registry / Windows Panel optionsÂ
With every Windows VPS you are allowed to take at least 2 Snapshots at any moment. To proceed you would simply need to follow the steps below:Â

Take a SnapShot of your Windows VPS
1) First login to your Windows VPS Control panel.Â
2) Access to your Windows VPS Administration panel. (Click on HyperV > Your VPS Name)
3) Click on the "Snapshots" tab shown on your Windows VPS control panel as indicated below:Â
4) Click on "Take Snapshot" Â
Past this final step, all new Changes brought to your Windows VPS will be stored in the snapshots.Â
Restore A SnapShot for your Windows VPS
In order to restore a taken SnapShot, you may follow the steps below:Â

1) First login to your Windows VPS Control panel.Â
2) Access to your Windows VPS Administration panel. (Click on HyperV > Your VPS Name)
3) Click on the "Snapshots" tab shown on your Windows VPS
4) Click on the SnapSHot you would like to restore and click "Apply". It will delete all data / changes in between the recovery point and the present moment. Please note that the deleted data isn't recoverable.Â
